Why Can Tarot Readings Give Different Answers at Different Times?

One question people sometimes have about tarot is why the cards might give different answers when the same question is asked more than once. If the future hasn't happened yet, shouldn't the answer stay the same? Not necessarily. A tarot reading is an interpretation of the cards in relation to a particular question and situation. It isn't a fixed record of everything that will happen, regardless of what changes along the way. Consider a relationship. A reading might suggest that two people are likely to reconnect. But what happens next can depend on their choices, their circumstances, and how they respond to each other. If something significant changes, the possibilities may change with it. There's also a difference between asking the same question repeatedly because you're looking for reassurance and returning to a question because the situation itself has changed. The first doesn't necessarily give you more useful information. The second may give you something new to examine. This is one reason I don't treat tarot as an unchangeable verdict. The cards can offer insight into a situation and its possible direction, but a reading shouldn't be confused with a guarantee.
